Hogmanay Snow Ball Ceilidh
What to do for Hogmanay in Scotland? Firstly, in case you were unfamiliar, Hogmanay is what us Scots call New Years Eve. Scotland is renowned for its Hogmanay celebrations. We love to drink, dance, sing and have fun until the wee small hours, and then get up on New Years Day, jump in the ice cold sea and start the party all over again. Yes, we're a pretty tough, crazy, fun bunch. But of course, everyone is having a party - so the pressure is on to find the right venue, where you are going to have the best time and feel all those good Hogmanay feels. You could brave the various council organised street festivals around Scotland - but honestly, you will be so cold by midnight it often takes the shine off the evening. These parties are often reserved for the younger revelers. So, in my humble opinion - I don't think you can go too far wrong by booking tickets to the Snow Ceilidh Ball in Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms. They are organised by a super, super team - Peter and Gary. I personally know Peter and he's one of the best event producers in Scotland. This is a beautiful, historic venue in central Edinburgh with 2 fairytale ballrooms, 2 ceilidh bands and 3 bars - where your most glamorous Scottish party dreams can come true. The men wear their smart highland dress, the women, their most beautiful gowns - and with everyone in a fantastic mood and the ceilidh music driving you onto the dance floor ... you can be absolutely assured of a good evening. The Snow Ball is for you if you don't want to leave your chances of having a good time at Hogmanay to chance!
