This is in a very pretty but slightly remote location. It will take 4 hours to drive there from Edinburgh and 3.5 hours from Glasgow, but boy will it be worth it! More so if you get some good weather. The light and clarity across the water will be breathtaking. The house sits on the Rahoy Estate, which is north east of the island of Mull. Although it’s still on mainland Scotland, it is best reached via the Corran-Ardgour ferry, which takes just a few minutes to cross. Caorann is a fairly new house, sleeping up to 8, with super views over the Loch. There are two double bedrooms, one family bedroom and one twin bedroom. The open plan kitchen and dining area has a range cooker, large American style fridge/ freezer and separate wine cooler. There are 3 bathrooms/shower rooms. The sitting area, with its expanse of glass, looks out along the loch. Although it has WiFi, television and a music system - you may want to switch off and not engage with the rest of the world. There’s a wood burning stove and all the rooms have under floor heating. There is a barbecue and outside furniture for those long summer evenings. This is an amazing house rental if you want to be a world away from it all, in beautiful surroundings but have all of the conveniences you’d expect from a modern home.
- Pets welcome.
