Where in the world can you have a holiday for a family of 5, for a week, for under 700 pounds? In Scotland of course! Kylesku Lodges to be precise. These might be simple little bothies / wigwams / huts / cabins, or whatever you want to call them – but they are certainly deserved of their place here on Chic Scotland. Of course, you can’t argue with the price, but just look at that location! This is a truly wild and natural paradise in the very north west of Scotland. This is the stuff Scottish walkers and cyclists dream of but it’s not just for the outdoorsy types. I do not class myself as particularly outdoorsy and would be quite happy sitting in the Guerlain Spa at the Waldorf paying £100 for a massage. BUT – there is also a time for peace, serenity, nature, fresh air and feeling close to this incredible wild, natural country, which is home to some of the last remaining wilderness spots on the earth. Coming from a family angle here too, rid your kids of their tablets and get them here – exploring the wee burns, throwing stones in the water, collecting sticks and making a fire pit on the local beach. Cheap, cheerful and ‘Chic’ I have to say!
