This is a sublime Scottish countryside mansion house hotel doing a fantastic job. The family owners behind this institution are absolutely committed to their trade and the hospitality on offer here is proof. I love some of the newly refurbished bedrooms, the whisky bar, and of course - the location is a dream. They are located close to the North Coast 500 and take up an enviable position in the highlands on the west coast. I love the fact that rather than offer a spa, they quite rightly encourage guests to get outdoors and take their relaxation and invigoration from nature. They offer rock climbing and sea kayaking amongst other things, as they are right on the doorstep of both breathtaking mountains and beautiful, gentle coastline. Indeed, to celebrate and drive this positioning, they have cleverly created the Mountain and Sea Festival which promises music, real ale and adventure… hello… count me in! It is a treat to book a suite overlooking Loch Torridon (make sure you confirm this at time of booking), but they also own a separate, more casual Inn close by. Obviously the expansion of the Torridon brand has happened due to their continuing success, and quite rightly so. This is a dreamy hotel for a romantic few nights away, or a luxury treat for special anniversary’s and birthdays. But you could also not go far wrong to stay at the Inn, and go grab yourself some outdoor adventure - whilst retreating to comfort and home cooking upon your arrival back from the moors. The whole world needs to know about this place right now… get this on your Bucket List right now if you have any sense at all!
