Scottish Staycation out of lockdown COVID-19
We are all looooonging to get away from our own homes for a holiday out of lockdown when it is safe to do so. For those of us living in the UK, there are now more reasons than ever to choose a staycation. Apart from the obvious that it seems like the safest option right now, they are also better for the environment, support local businesses and Scotland is so beautiful – it deserves to be explored!
Holiday trends suggest that even before all this Covid-19 horrendousness, it was really not about lying about on a plastic poolside chair anymore. More people want an ‘experience’ holiday, people cared more about the sustainability of their holiday resort, and the phrase ‘forest bathing’ became a thing. Scotland ticks all three of those boxes and many more, so there’s never been a better time to explore this diverse nation.
Go out and grab yourself some adventure in Scottish glens, mountains, lochs and islands - but retreat to the comfort of luxury accommodation at the end of the day – that’s kind of what we’re about here at Chic. If retreat and relaxation is more your thing, Scotland has wonderful spa hotels, secluded luxury self-catering havens off the beaten track, and we also list all the best wellness holidays. But whether you need a romantic staycation for two, plan on bringing the whole family, or are a solo traveller, Chic Scotland is here to make your Staycation planning a whole lot easier.
To assist you, we have recommended a selection of truly stunning Scottish Staycation holiday destinations in a couple of our fave regions… but all you need to do is look at any of the options on the directory as they are all-killer-no-filler. Or drop us an email for some bespoke advice.
