Eden Locke

It really doesn’t feel like you’re even in Scotland when you walk into this hotel. The décor is so fresh, light and contemporary, and feels so unique for Edinburgh, like I’ve just floated into some cute, trendy new Ibiza hang spot. There are shades of mint and pink with copper touches, this hotel is an Instagrammers paradise. But of course, behind the style there is also substance. There has been a bit of a trend of late, for new, style-led hotels to provide tiny, modular hotel rooms with just a shower and a bed. Whilst this is fine for some, the Locke brand of hotel believes in providing a whole lot more. They are an apartment hotel concept – trying to connect with the city and the local community – and bring in the traveler too. There is a bar and café, and they offer 'experiences'. I guess this means they are quite event-led. But mainly it's just oh so pretty, pretty, and it makes me want to grab my suitcase and move right in!
