Highland Perthshire Holiday Homes
What Angela Penfold of Highland Perthshire Holiday Homes doesn't know about holiday rental in Perthshire isn't worth knowing. Having met her recently, she's the loveliest, most efficient person to deal with and will wrap up all your holiday property needs in her stride. Anything from 2 people to 10 can be accommodated in her apartments, cottages and larger properties - many of which have stunning views over Loch Tay or the glen. You'll enjoy having a browse through her website at all the different types of property on offer and there's bound to be something to suit everyone. Or, give her a call and discuss your needs. The difference between Angela and many other companies, is that she actually manages the 'INs and OUTs' of these properties - the daily operational stuff. So she knows them... well, inside and out!! ;-) Some of my personal favourites are Ben Macdui overlooking Loch Tay, Tursachan with its hot tub, Croftness or Bay Tree Cottage for unique character and Aodin for it's simple, elegant styling and location on a 4000 acre farm! Sometimes photos over-sell a place and then there are times when the reality is so much better than the imagery. I think the latter is the case here, which I often find is a better way to do things. This company isn't brand over product - it's just immaculate, beautiful homes ran by a very hard working team with a huge amount of local experience. I do also so LOVE this part of the world. There's a real scene going on up in Aberfeldy and surrounding areas. I was at a house party up there with local business owners, (all of whom were so absolutely gorgeous and delightful), who told me that the area was known as 'Gucci Glen'. This has really stuck with me. Don't worry, it's nothing to do with it being pretentious and overpriced. I have come to learn for myself that it's because it is full of character, interesting people, vibrant businesses and creative tourism concepts. There's also a lot of art and culture if you look for it. But mostly, it's Gucci-fabulous because of the postcard perfect villages amongst beautiful scenery. Seriously, what is not to love - this part of Scotland has everything. If in doubt about where to stay in the area, Highland Perthshire Holiday Homes should be your first port of call. They might just have something up their sleeve that's not even on the website! ;-) CHIC SCOTLAND EXTRA: mention Chic Scotland on booking to receive a complimentary bottle of bubbly with your welcome pack.
